Verena Kyratzes is a writer, artist, actress, director, cook, painter, photographer, singer and cat owner servant. She has co-written and co-directed two successful plays, directed several musicals, and acted in everything from Christmas Pantomimes to Shakespeare. She has also built sets, made costumes and constructed a number of props.

These days she spends most of her time working with her husband, creating graphics for independent computer games like The Strange and Somewhat Sinister Tale of the House at Desert Bridge, The Book of Living Magic, The Fabulous Screech, The Sea Will Claim Everything and the upcoming Ithaka of the Clouds.

You can find her photography on Flickr.

She’s also translated Croteam’s The Talos Principle and its expansion The Road to Gehenna into German. Both translations were favourably mentioned in the German press. She wouldn’t mind doing more of those in the future.

Above all, however, Verena considers herself a writer. She is currently trying to find a home for her first novel and a number of short stories. You can find one of them here, if you’re into that sort of thing. Jonas and Verena have also recently released a children’s book in Greece.
